Manchester United are reportedly considered front-runners to secure the services of Trabzonspor forward Abdul Majeed Waris after his agent revealed genuine interest from the former Premier League champions.

  • The Red Devils assistant Ryan Giggs watched the Ghana international in action for his club last week, with the Welshman believed to have added a positive report on the player's performance.

According to Goal.com, the player's agent Phil Radley is not surprised by United's interest in his client, given the 23-year-old's potential to shine in the biggest stage of English football in seasons to come.

"I wasn't aware of Manchester United travelling to the Europa League fixture - but Premier League interest does not surprise me," Radley said.

"Waris certainly has the qualities for the Premier League - he is very quick and strong. Clearly he is a proven goal threat, but he is also a real fighter who never gives up and will chase down lost causes and put himself in dangerous areas."

Waris, who joined Trabzonspor from Spartak Moscow over the summer, missed out on Ghana's World Cup campaign at Brazil due to a thigh injury.
