Zahavi denies Ron talk

Zahavi denies Ron talk

12 December 2007 - 20:35

Super agent Pini Zahavi has denied rumours that he was in Barcelona to discuss terms with the Catalan club over a potential transfer for Ronaldinho to Chelsea. Zahavi insisted any deal is not on the cards yet.

  • Chelsea midfielder wants to play in Olympic games
  • Arsenal favourites to sign French winger ahead of Chelsea

  • "I have not come here to talk or negotiate about Ronaldinho," Zahavi is quoted in Sport.

"Everything I know I have read in the press. I do not know if there are any talks planned with Chelsea and I have no idea what will happen in the future."

Zahavi was in Barcelona to discuss a new contract for Giovanni dos Santos, and said: "He does not have a contract until 2012. He has a short contract. If he had a long contract I would not be here and would not need to be talking to Barca.

"I have a very special relationship with Barcelona and I go there every three or four weeks.

"Of course, we are talking about Giovani, but there has been nothing certain.

"We are only halfway through the season. We shall see what happens, but anything could happen. I do not know if it will be easy."
