Liverpool are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Barcelona defender Martin Montoya in the upcoming transfer window.
It is believed that the Spaniard is considering an exit in the New Year, with Barca unlikely to offer him an extension to his existing contract which expires next summer.
According to talkSPORT, a host of top European clubs are interested in the talented defender, but the Reds lead the chase for the 23-year-old, who is expected to be sold for a bargain fee in January.
Montoya has made 38 appearances for the Catalan giants until now.Â
