Leicester City are reportedly keen on making a move for Celtic midfielder Kris Commons, according to The Express.

The former Scotland international joined the Hoops from Derby County in January 2011, and has since then played a crucial part in the club's progress.

According to the report, Leicester City will tempt the 31-year-old into a switch to the English top flight in the January transfer window.

However, the Foxes are likely to face stiff competition from Bolton Wanderers and Crystal Palace for the player's services.

Commons has scored five goals in 16 games for Celtic this season.
