Lyon want Cesar Delgado

18 December 2007 - 19:12

Lyon are reportedly closing in on the transfer of Cruz Azul player Cesar Delgado. Remi Garde was sent to monitor the progress of "Chelito" Cesar, and Delgado may have been lined up as a replacement for Benzema, who has been the subject of interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid.

  • Chelsea plan shock swoop for Sporting CP star
  • Chelsea have clear stance on signing Victor Osimhen
  • O Jogo is claiming that Benfica have signed Delgado with a €3.5m offer, but Mexican sources say that Benfica haven’t made an offer.

Known as "Chelito," a nickname he received when he came to Cruz Azul for having played alongside Marcelo Delgado, who was called "Chelo", the Lyon target is believed to be wanted by Fiorentina in Serie A and Sunderland in the Premiership.
