Liverpool have reportedly enquired on the availability Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi at the end of the season.
The Spain international has struggled to cement his place in the first-team this season, with the likes of Toni Kroos and Lucas Silva offering him stiff competition in the central midfield role.
According to The People, the Reds are interested in the former Sociedad star, and have enquired on Real's asking price for the 24-year-old.
Reports elsewhere reveal that the Merseyside outfit would have to cough up at least £17m to land the player's services.
