WIll Falcao come good at the right time?

01 March 2015 - 23:28

When Manchester United landed Radamel Falcao on loan, it was hailed as a bold and defining move. Bold, it certainly proved, thus far because the Colombian striker was just returning from injury. And, his performances thus far proved that. But, it is just about time for Falcao to prove that the move is indeed defining.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The stay at United for Falcao was frustrating, to say the least. He has shown few glimpses of his undoubted talent. At the same time, he has kept fans on the edge of the seat by not being the 'striker who can score 20 goals a season'.

However, the performance against Sunderland could just be the fizz that the player and the club alike, are looking for. He hustled and bustled, and got the first penalty goal through his sheer pressing.

Though he was hauled after the first goal, Falcao should be happy with what he achieved on the field. Though it is no where near the lofty heights of excellence he could achieve, it is nevertheless a start.

The next month is a crucial make-or-break month for United. Huge games against City, Liverpool and Chelsea will decide whether United are destined to get back to Europe or not. His performance in these matches could define if Falcao is destined to make his stay at Old Trafford permanent or not.
