Leicester City have reached an agreement to sign Caen midfielder N'Golo Kante.

The 24-year-old is understood to have attracted interest from several clubs including Arsenal and Southampton following an excellent season in Ligue 1.

The Foxes were looking to bolster their midfield options following Matty James' cruciate knee ligament injury.

According to The Express, the Premier League side has struck a £7.8m deal to sign up the talented enforcer.

Kante made 38 appearances for Caen last term.
