Bolton have completed the signing of 23 year old Israeli Tamir Cohen from Maccabi Netanya subject to international clearance. The international midfielder has Italian ancestory so will not require a foreign player's work permit.
The 23-year-old, who has recently broken into the national team set-up in his homeland, winning three caps to date, will sign a contract running until the summer of 2010 with the Trotters.
Manager Gary Megson told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased to be able to add someone of Tamir's potential to our squad.
"He's been training with us and has already met the rest of the lads.
"He will need to get used to the demands of the Premier League like all new players, but I am certain he will be a valuable asset for this football club." Cohen himself added: "My dream has come true.
"I'm taking another step forward in my career. I expect to continue my progress and justify the faith shown in me by Gary Megson."
