Queens Park Rangers are close to acquiring the signature of Wigan Athletic defender James Perch this summer, Sky Sports News confirms.
The former Newcastle United full-back joined the Latics two seasons ago, and has since then missed just nine league games for the Lancashire outfit.
Perch has been constantly linked with a move away from DW Stadium following the Latics' relegation to the third tier of English football.
Sky Sports News reveals that the R's have reached an agreement over a transfer fee for the 29-year-old, and the deal will be announced after the player undergoes a medical and agrees terms on a contract.
