West Ham United have been given the go ahead to sign Atletico Madrid striker Raul Jimenez on a season-long loan deal.

It had been earlier stated that the Hammers were finding it difficult to gain a work permit for the Mexican international.

However, The Mail now claims that the East Londoners will complete the striker's signing having obtained the necessary documentation for the player to ply his trade at Boleyn Road.

It is added that the Hammers have agreed to pay a £1.4m loan fee for the 24-year-old marksman.
