Afonso Alves has hinted that he is finally ready to leave Heerenveen as several clubs including Man City, AZ Alkmaar, Fenerbahce and Middlesbrough all move a step closer to sealing his signature.
"The last few days I have spent with my family and friends in Belo Horizonte," he told his own website.
"When I return to the Netherlands I hope to complete my transfer to one of the interested clubs.
"I want to continue my work and stay in the picture with national coach Dunga," he continued.
"I want to work myself into being a first-team regular with the Brazil national side."
