Wolfburgs Dante rejects Chelsea link

Dante rubbishes Chelsea speculation

Wolfburg's Dante rejects Chelsea link

11 November 2015 - 13:29

Wolfsburg defender Dante has firmly insisted that he has no desire to join Premier League side Chelsea.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • Recent reports had suggested that the Brazilian defender had 'dreams' of playing for the Premier League holders.

However, it was his teenage namesake Abdoul Dante, captain of Mali Under-17's, who had revealed his admiration for the Blues.

"I always dreamed of playing in a World Cup for my country. I would like to play in a big club like Chelsea," Abdoul told FIFA.com

Dante has now cleared the speculation by insisting that he is content at the Wolves, and has no plans of making a switch to Stamford Bridge in the near future.

"It's been difficult and confusing for me. I couldn't understand why people were calling me and asking about Chelsea," Dante told reporters.

"I only left Bayern in the summer, I've got a three-year contract with Wolfsburg so I've nothing to look for. I don't know the other Dante but it's his dream, not mine!"

The 32-year-old has made eight appearances for his side this season.
