Kanoute for Spurs switch

Kanoute for Spurs switch

11 January 2008 - 22:21

Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute has admitted that he would one day love to make a return to the Premiership with Tottenham. Spurs' boss Juande Ramos is known to be an admirer of the Frenchman during his time coaching the striker.

  • Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brentford, Estevao absent
  • Chelsea striker joins Fatih Karagumruk on loan

  • “I would like to play in the Premier League again one day - who knows?" he told The Sun.

“I had a good time there so why not? If the opportunity comes I’d look into it.

“At the moment I am happy in Spain but if Tottenham offer me a great opportunity then I would consider it. Let’s wait and see.”

Ramos has already told Jermaine Defoe that he can leave the club, which could pave the way for Kanoute's move.

“I’ve probably improved since I went to Spain but I feel there are parts of my game that can get better," he continued, suggesting that there was more to come from him.

“I have scored more goals in Spain than I did in England.”
