The Brazilian midfielder has been in top form for Shakhtar this season, and this has caught the eye of several European clubs.

Premier League holders Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Teixeira this month, but it is now known that the Reds are clearly leading the race for the player's services.

Goal.com suggests that the player is keen on sealing a move to Anfield as he seeks to earn a call-up to the Brazilian national side.

Teixeira has netted 26 goals for the Ukrainian giants this term.
