Scots job still vacant

Scots job still vacant

15 January 2008 - 11:42

Billy Davies the former Derby manager has ruled himself out of the race to become the new Scotland manager.

  • Chelsea make Emmanuel Emegha decision after Liam Delap injury
  • Chelsea star out for eight weeks after shoulder injury

  • Davies said:

"We were informed they wanted to get me involved in the process. We told them we would not be taking things any further."

The SFA has started making approaches to those managers on their shortlist.

"My representative got a call from the SFA to say I was on the shortlist and then he took another call to say they wanted to speak to me about the job," said Davies recently sacked by Derby.

Those remaining on the list are supposedly Tommy Burns, George Burley, Mark McGhee and Graeme Souness.
