According to reports in Italy, Inter Milan's impressive full back Maicon could be set for a move after he admitted he was disappointed with the poor contract the Nerrazurri offered. Maicon is considered one of the best defenders in Italy this season and Chelsea have been interested in the player.
The 26-year-old has been calling for an improved deal for several months now, however his agent Mario Rosi is encountering repeated difficulties with Inter.
Maicon is valued at around £12 million by Inter, who are reluctant to sell one of their best players. However, the lure of Chelsea and a Premiership move may prove too much as Avram Grant hopes to continue his January shopping spree.
