Striker suspension sums up shocking Villa season

Disgrace to the club- the striker has been suspensed

Striker suspension sums up shocking Villa season

19 April 2016 - 19:59

Aston Villa's disastrous season seems to have been summed up by one player.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Spanish star has arrived in London to complete Arsenal transfer

  • Aston Villa have had a terrible season this campaign, and after only winning three matches they found themselves finally relegated for the first time since 1987. Although almost every player has been a disgrace to the club, it is the antics of 29 year old striker Gabby Agbonlahor that have summed up the clubs season. The striker has now been suspended by the club following a picture that appeared to show him partying just hours after relegation.

The striker, who has only managed one goal this season was previously pictured smoking a shisha pipe during a trip to Dubai. This not only upset a number of Villa fans but caused the club to launch an investigation, which they later decided not to pursue.

Things only got worse for Gabby as he was accused of being a pound overweight prompting him to dropped from the match day squad, and put on a personal fitness regime to try and lose some of the weight. Again the club decided to keep him.

Now though was the final straw. The club has suspended him after being apparently pictured on laughing gas, and a booze binge just hours after the club was relegated. This sums up the attitude that most Villa players have had this season - they don't look bothered.

Many believe that this is the worst team to ever play in the BPL and looking at the results and the team, it's hard to disagree.
