Kalou loved his match winner

24 January 2008 - 13:17

Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou has described his "dream come true" at scoring the winning goal for his country as the Ivory Coast overcame Nigeria in the 1-0 victory.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • "My feeling is fantastic," Kalou told skysports.com. "Scoring on my debut in the Africa Cup of Nations is a dream come true.

"My parents are here, my friends are here in my homeland and everybody is happy for me. The goal was fantastic but the win was the sweetest.

"It is not about personal glory. It is about Ivory Coast winning against difficult opponents in an opening game of a big tournament."
