Fuchs commits future to Leicester

Christian Fuchs signs new Leicester deal

21 October 2016 - 14:14

Austrian international Christian Fuchs has committed his future to Leicester City on a fresh three-year contract. The full-back was a key player for the Foxes last season as they went on to lift a historic and maiden Premier League title.

  • Arsenal linked with new shotstopper as backup to Raya
  • Juventus and Roma to battle for 20yo Arsenal star

  • Reports last month suggested the left-back could leave the Foxes in January with the club's hierarchy reluctant to accept to his wage demands.

However, the player has managed to sort out his issues with the East Midlands side, and has now secured a new deal to keep him at Leicester until 2019.

"I'm happy. I'm committed to the club. I'm happy here and I've had the best time of my career so far here. My name is the Austrian Fox and now I'm staying with the English Foxes," he told LCFC TV.

Claudio Ranieri's side have had a reality check in the league this season, with just two wins in their opening eight games.

Meanwhile, their Champions League adventure has been a delight to watch with three victories in three, and just one more win required to reach the knock-out round.
