Southampton captain Jose Fonte has insisted that he is focused with his job at St.Mary's. The Portugal international was the subject of an approach from Manchester United in the summer.
Fonte, 32, was tipped to make a move to Old Trafford in the back end of the summer tranfer window. but the Saints were not keen on his sale.
Since then, the Euro 2016 winner has put up a series of impressive displays for the Saints, and he is now hopeful of earning a contract extension in the coming months.
When asked on his United link, the centre-half did not have much to say, and was rather content on plying his trade at the South Coast.
Fonte will be back in a Portugal shirt on Sunday when they take on Latvia in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
