Gokhan Tore has been told that he has no future at West Ham United, and the winger's early exit from the East London side could cost the Hammers as much as $4 million. Tore has been linked with a rapid return to parent club Besiktas.
Tore arrived in England from Turkey with a glowing reputation but has struggled to reproduce the form that made him one of his country's most important players. The Turkish club Besiktas are ready to bring the player back but will not taken on the financial burden of the return.
Besiktas have been in conversation with West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic regarding Tore and are to settle on a fee somewhere in the $4 million range, which is the exact amount the Hammers were expecting to pay to bring the player in on a temporary loan deal for a whole season.
With Tore's future now up in the air, many are wondering what the player's next move will be. It is understood that German side Bayer Leverkusen are interested, while high flying French Ligue 1 side Nice are also known to be in the race to snap up the unwanted player.
At West Ham this year, Tore has had a torrid time and has not been called upon for regular first team action, even with the Hammers languishing at the bottom half of the Premier League table.
West Ham have endured a difficult start to life this season in the Premier League and since the club have made the move to London Stadium (the Olympic Stadium), with their own fans being involved in regular fracas' and fights with rival Premier League fans such as Chelsea. The Hammers have been told that they face the threat of playing in an empty stadium or even a point deduction if this situation does not improve. The Hammers have told Gokhan Tore that he has no future at the club and that the player will be allowed to leave before Christmas if a potential suitor comes in for him. Besiktas are at this point open to negotiation of an exit fee for Tore and have told West Ham that they are ready to meet up at the negotiation table.Â
