Peter Lovenkrands is set to make a move from Schalke 04 to Birmingham City in the coming days. Lovenkrands played under boss Alex McLeish during his time in Scotland playing for Rangers.
"At the moment I don't know what is happening but I'm hoping we will sort something out soon," Lovenkrands told the Daily Star.
Lovenkrands is valued by the German side at around £2 million, and McLeish is happy to pay this for the Danish international, and McLeish is also confident that the winger will arrive in time to play Sunderland on Tuesday.
