Japan international midfielder Shinji Ono has joined German club Bochum from Urawa Reds. The former Feyenoord midfielder has joined for a fee believed to be around £1 million.
Urawa Reds general manager Shuzo Nakamura said "The transfer fee is close to what we are hoping. But it's not a matter of money. We want him to shine on the pitch again and are hoping this could be a good move for him."
Urawa officials said that an undisclosed transfer fee between the two teams has been reached that paved the way for Ono to depart from Urawa for the second time in his career.
