Gakpe linked with Derby

Monaco's young French starlet Serge Gakpe has been linked with a move to Derby County. Gakpé last season signed a 3 year extension to his contract and is under contract until 2011, however, Derby are rumoured to have made a bid of around £4.8m to land the midfielder.

In recent seasons there has been plenty of interest in Gakpé especially in Spain, where Racing Santander, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and even Barcelona have all been linked with the 20 year old.



However, Derby may poach the young Frenchman from under their glance if they can negotiate closer to Monaco's asking price.
