Coloccini being eyed by Villa

Deportivo defender Fabricio Coloccini is rumoured to be in talks regarding making a move to Aston Villa. The defender has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks particularly from Real Zaragoza.

Aston Villa have been monitoring Arsenal's Justin Hoyte and Martin O'Neill had been keen to add another defender to his squad before the season started. Fabricio Coloccini is an ex AC Milan defender with bags of experience in the Italian and Spanish top flight.



Aston Villa are looking for reinforcements in midfield particularly after the departures of McCann, Davis and Hendrie and Coloccini is very versatile and capable of playing in defence and midfield.
