Hull City had a bid for Keisuke Honda rejected on transfer deadline day. The Japanese midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season.
AC Milan had told Honda that he is free to leave the San Siro and Premier League strugglers Hull City had been in contact.
However, AC Milan have decided to retain Honda's services until the end of their Serie A campaign and Hull City will turn their attentions to targets elsewhere.
