Koevermans wanted by Wigan

Prolific Dutch international striker Danny Koevermans is wanted by Wigan Athletic. The 28 year old has spent the last 3 seasons at AZ Alkmaar. Wigan have offered a fee of 3.5m EUR while Spanish side Levante have matched that bid but it is believed AZ Alkmaar are holding out for at least 5m EUR.

Danny Koevermans received his first international cap in March against Slovenia after impressing with his goal ratio of scoring at least 1 goal every other game. Koevermans had previously played for Sparta Rotterdam for 5 seasons but really impressed in AZ Alkmaar's recent successful seasons.
