Derby have completed the signing of former Man Utd goalkeeper Roy Carroll from Rangers. The Northern Ireland international's move finally went through this evening.

Rams stopper Stephen Bywater is poised to join Ipswich on loan for the remainder of the season with a view to a permanent move.



Rams manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website: "It has been a protracted deal but I believe it will be worth the wait.



"Roy is a great pro and he will come straight into contention for Saturday's game at Birmingham."
