Valencia confirm Zaza's permanent signing

West Ham flop seals permanent Valencia contract

La Liga side Valencia have confirmed they have exercised a clause which will see loanee Simone Zaza complete a permanent move from Juventus this summer.

  • Eddie Howe emerges as managerial target for Chelsea

  • The Italy international was largely unsuccessful during his loan spell at West Ham United after which he opted for a fresh challenge at the Mestalla.

Zaza has netted twice since his arrival to Los Che in mid-January, and this has convinced Los Che's hierarchy to purchase the player for £13.7m during the summer window.

"No matter what, he is a part of Valencia," he said. "After this half a season, he'll have four more years [at Valencia] and we have to get the best performance out of him" sporting director Jose Ramon Alesanco told reporters.

Zaza, who is due to remain at Valencia until the summer of 2021, has proved to be a key performer for the Spanish side, who have turned their season with three wins in their last four league outings.

Valencia are currently 13th in La Liga, 10 points adrift of the drop zone.
