Edinho joins AEK on loan

AEK have confirmed the loan deal involving Portugese striker Edinho from Vitória Setúbal

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • Few hours before the close of the transfer window, Arnaldo Edi Lopes da Silva "Edinho" was borrowed by AEK till 30th of June, 2008. They have an option to buy the player and make the deal permanent in the summer if he makes a good impression at the club.



    He is an aggressive striker and has scored 6 goals in 15 appearance for Vitória Setúbal in 2007. Orignially nurtured by the Setúbal youth club, the 25 year old has played for Braga and Gil Vicente.



    He is very happy to have landed in AEK and is ready for the battle to strive to a higher level competitve league. Speaking to the AEK's official website, he said: "I am ambitious, I have confidence in myself and will prove it in the stadium"



    Edinho will be formally presented before the press on Sunday, February 3rd at 18.00 in the Press Room at the Olympic Stadium.
