Rafinha open to Premier League move

Rafinha open to Premier League move

05 May 2017 - 14:23

Bayern Munich defender Rafinha has admitted that he is a big fan of the Premier League, and would be open to a move when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Spurs, Gilchrist starts
  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs

  • Thirty one year old Rafinha has struggled establish himself in the Bayern Munich team, making just nine starts in their Bundesliga winning campaign this year. He currently has just over a year remaining on his contract, which may lead the German giants to move him on to secure a fee, as opposed to losing him on a free next year.

Rafinha told FourFourTwo that he finds the Premier League "very exciting" and that "it's probably the best league in the world." This will put Premier League teams on alert about a possible deal, with Arsenal and Liverpool both rumoured to be interested in bringing the Brazilian to England.

Champions League semi finalists Juventus are also rumoured to be interested in Rafinha, although he may decide to stay with Bayern and attempt to get regular football, which may be more achievable with the legendary Philipp Lahm retiring at the end of the season.
