Wiltord moves to Rennes

Ex-Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord has agreed a switch from Lyon to Rennes. The striker had been linked with a move away from Lyonnais all summer, but until today a move failed to materialise.

Wiltord has won 3 consecutive French Division 1 titles and is believed to have wanted a new fresh challenge abroad. However, Rennes have met Wiltord's wage demands and the player will begin his new career at Stade Rennais shortly.
