Hamann hails Man City victory

Dietmar Hamann has hailed the victory over city rivals Man Utd. The Man City midfielder put in a man of the match performance and praised the side for the way they didn't allow United any room as City picked up an outstanding 2-1 victory.

“We worked very hard and gave them no space”, said a delighted Hamann.



“We knew before the game that if you give a side like United room they will punish you, but we covered each other so well, and even when one of theirs got past us another player was there to cover and win the ball back.



“We restricted them to one goal and just a handful of chances, and that shows how well we defended.”
