Portsmouth defender Lucien Aubey is hoping to earn a full time deal at Fratton Park after joining on loan from Lens. Aubey made his first appearance for the club at the weekend and is keen to impress.

  • Chelsea handed boost in signing Alejandro Garnacho?
  • Arsenal likely to unveil second signing this weekend

  • "I'm glad to be playing because I want to stay here for a long time," Aubey told the club's official website.

"I didn't sign here to go back to France in the summer. A lot of teams want me there, but I wanted to play for Portsmouth.

"We've got a big, big manager here and I want to learn from him. It's why every time he gives me a chance, I want to impress.

"I'm happy to play and show what I can do. But I know I can give a lot more."
