Luciano Spalletti has congratulated his Roma players for their stunning 2-1 victory over Spanish champions Real Madrid in the Champions League yesterday.

"I must congratulate my players. We played a great game and we made use of our counter-attack opportunities.



"My players have shown maturity. It wasn't easy to come back against Real when you concede an early goal, but we've been patient and we've been rewarded.



"It will be a whole other game (in the Bernabeu) and we need another splendid performance. We cannot rest on our laurels."
