Man Utd are still after Sporting Lisbon midfielder Veloso, but the player's agent confirmed that Fiorentina are also still in the race to land the highly-rated midfielder.

Paulo Barbosa, the player's agent, said the Viola had made an approach. "I confirm that Fiorentina are interested, but no negotiations are taking place.



They contacted me asking about information on the player," said Barbosa. "At the moment there is nothing concrete. If negotiations begin it will be with a view to a summer transfer."
