The busy season in the English Premier League has come to an end. Josep Guardiola’s team triumphed, and left literally no chance to their rivals. The opposite side of the standings witnessed many interesting events, too.
This year, the teams which before the start of tournament was not even considered as outsiders, has left the Premier League. So, the main losers were:
•         Stoke City;
•         West Bromwich;
•         Swansea.
Each of these clubs spent several seasons in the elite of English football. Moreover, Stoke City even participated in European competitions. That's why their drop is regarded as pure shock, because there were clubs with a much more modest line-ups and budgets.
As for the fight for the champion title, it ended very quickly. In fact, United was the only team that tried to impose the fight to Manchester City at least in the first half of the season. This year, Jose Mourinho’s team ranked second in the standings, which is their best result over the last 5 years.

 Main Outcomes of the Past Season
Speaking of the past season, we can not fail to mention the progress of Liverpool. If it were not for unsuccessful matches with middlemen and outsiders, then the EPL results for the Merseysiders could be much better. However, the incredible progress of Mohammed Salah, who set a new effectiveness record (32 goals), allowed the club to successfully perform both on the domestic and international arenas, where Klopp's team made it to the Champions League finals.
It’s safe to say that the main losers of the season were Arsenal and Chelsea. The latter could redeem themselves a little in front of their fans by winning the FA Cup. However this is a completely new era for Arsenal, because now Unai Emery has been appointed to the head coach position. In the upcoming season, the Gunners will play in the European League, which the Spaniard has won several times; let's see if he will be able to repeat his exploits with the new club.
The summer break will pass very quickly, and already in August the main football league of the planet will return to the stadiums; it promises to please us with stiff fights and unpredictable results in the upcoming season.
