Butt rallies Newcastle players

Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt has called on all the players at the Toon to round up and mount a late surge to help lift the club clear of the relegation zone after going 11 games without a win.

Butt told BBC Radio Newcastle: "If we start thinking in that mindset then we admit defeat. We've got winnable games.



"We haven't played well as individuals or as a team and it's up to us to get ourselves out of this position.



"We know we've got goals in our team and if we defend properly we can get out of the situation."
