Jose Antonio Camacho has quit his job as boss of Portuguese giants Benfica after a weekend draw with Portuguese minnows Uniao Leiria which finished 2-2.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • 'I think it is best (my resignation) for the team,' the former Spanish national coach told a news conference. 'I hope that the players improve with another coach.'

The Spanish coach had long been linked with an exit from the club, and the result saw Camacho hand in his resignation which the club promptly accepted.
