10 March 2008 - 22:21

Manchester United's assistant coach Carlos Queiroz has apologised to Martin Taylor after he bizarrely criticised the Birmingham defender for his savage tackling.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Queiroz said: "I am deeply sorry if my comments, made when emotions were running high after the Portsmouth game, were misconstrued."

Queiroz had reacted angrily after the defeat to Portsmouth saying of Taylor: "That's why the Taylors of this game can survive and some of the best players are out of the game. It cannot happen any more."
