Tottenham Hotspur enter race for highly-rated Mexican winger

Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Mexican winger Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven.

  • The 23-year-old caught the radar of numerous clubs with his performances for Mexico at the summer World Cup but he nevertheless stayed put with PSV, who were reluctant to sanction his sale.

    According to The Mirror, a number of elite sides are continuing to keep tabs on the attacker and Spurs are among those who have tracked his progress in the Eredivisie.

    Lozano still has under five years remaining on his existing deal with PSV but this is unlikely to have much of an impact with clubs prepared to make significant offers for his signature.

    Aside from Tottenham, north London rivals Arsenal and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in the former Pachuca man, who is presently valued more than £50m.

    Lozano has started the new campaign in a bright fashion with five goals and one assist for PSV across all competitions. His assist came during the recent Champions League defeat versus Inter Milan.
