Manchester United are reportedly planning to make Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho their marquee signing for the 2019 summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old left Manchester City for Dortmund in the summer of 2017 and he has since progressed excellently with eight goals and 13 assists across all competitions for the club.
According to The Sun, this has captured the attention of the Red Devils, who are prepared to make a summer offer worth £70m which would match the asking price of Dortmund.
Former club Manchester City have the option of matching the Red Devils' potential offer during the summer but Guardiola has previously hinted that Sancho's return remains unlikely.
In this case, the Citizens would still make some profit from their former graduate, given they had attached a 15 percent sell-on clause during the sale of the England international.
Aside from United, Paris Saint-Germain are the other high-profile club in the running for Sancho, although it remains to be seen whether he would turn down advances to return to his homecountry.
