Scholes praises Man Utd

Scholes praises Man Utd

21 March 2008 - 10:42

Paul Scholes believes that Manchester United are capable of winning the title again because of their strength in depth and their overall talent in the whole squad. Scholes also hinted at a Champions League win.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Scholes said in the Daily Express: "It's a massive squad now and the great thing is that there isn't much, if any, difference in overall talent no matter who is on the pitch.

"Whatever team the manager picks is capable of winning.

"The squad is definitely bigger and stronger than last season. When you look back at the last six weeks of last season, I'm sure it was pretty much the same team that played every week.

"No doubt that cost us in the Champions League because we were lacking freshness.

"This year, hopefully we can steer clear of injuries, then the manager will be able to rotate things more and freshen the team up when needed - and that could make a real difference to us."
