Manchester United aiming to land fullback duo in the summer window

16 May 2019 - 06:43

Manchester United are eyeing a double transfer swoop this summer in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick Van Aanholt from Crystal Palace to restructure their backline.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Burnley clash
  • Man Utd attacker suspended for Brentford game

  • Red devils had a season to forget as Ole's men missed out on the top four place in the Premier league, resulting in omission from Champions league football. This is much to their shredded defence that cost them crucial points throughout the season. Now, in a view to transform the defence of the team, United are looking to bring in two high potential defenders from Selhurst Park for a bid around 50 million.

According to Sun, United are keen on securing the highly rated Wan-Bissaka who will arrive at Old Trafford to replace the departed veteran Antonio Valencia. Bissaka was sensational for Palace to help keep the side in the top flight once again and his cracking runs down the right added by his defensive works composed the potential he sustain in himself. This makes Bissaka a top club oriented player and United is destined for success if they get his service to improvise the squad.

However, Bissaka had already calmed down speculation talks over his future by hinting that he will stay put in. In that case, Van Aanholt will be the only target that United may receive in the pre-season window. The Dutchman has also made progress in his last two years at Palace and resembling his best, like he used do at Sunderland before they were relegated to Championship.

So, these two are the most credible option United may opt to land as quickly as possible to drive away other candidates in the race. It is sure that they will bring a revolutionary change at the 'Theatre of Dreams' and aid Ole Gunner Solskjaer's task to bring back the glory days for the unsatisfied fans.
