Manchester United defender Luke Shaw won't be available for first-team selection over the next four weeks after picking up a hamstring injury.
The England international sustained the problem during the first half of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace and that saw him replaced with Ashley Young in the 34th minute.
In the post-match press conference, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that he was hopeful over the 24-year-old's comeback for the league clash at Southampton but that does not appear the case.
According to TalkSPORT, scans on the muscular injury have shown that he would require a lengthier recovery period and he is now expected to miss the league games against Southampton, Leicester City and West Ham United.
United have made a disappointing start to the current season and they have accumulated a tally of just four points after the first three matches in the Premier League.
They have reinforced the defence over the summer with the signings of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire but there are still concerns in the attack department with the limited attempts on target.
