Italy boss Roberto Donadoni has rued defeat against Spain last night after the Spaniards beat his side 1-0 thanks to a stunning David Villa goal. The Valencia striker hit a superb winner 13 minutes from time.

"We didn't deserve to lose," insisted Donadoni. "But we accept the result.



"I am satisfied with my team's performance, with the game and I have no reason to reproach my players.



"Spain's goal was beautiful and they are a team which has potential."



Italy will feel hard done by as Mauro Camoranesi hit the bar late on; and that alone could've given Italy the victory.
