Solskjaer open to walking out of the United job

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will consider resigning from Manchester United

19 October 2019 - 18:52

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly consider resigning from the head coach role at Manchester United, should their form fail to improve in the coming months.

  • Man Utd to enter race for Chelsea striker target?
  • Chelsea confirm season-ending injury for midfielder

  • The Norwegian tactician was handed with a three-year contract in March this year after transforming the club's fortunes in temporary charge for three months.

However, the club ended the previous campaign on a sour note and that trend has continued this term where they have registered just nine points from the opening eight league games.

Solskjaer continues to hold the support of the United board despite the current run of results but Metro claims that he won't hesitate to walk out of the job, should the club continue with their poor string of results.

United have won just one of the previous five outings across all competitions and that came during the League Cup third round tie against Rochdale, where they were still disappointing and required a penalty shoot-out to progress.
