Kylian Mbappe won't be making move to Liverpool

10 November 2019 - 01:29

Paris St Germain star Kylian Mbappe will not be making a shock transfer move to Liverpool despite reports emanating from France that the Anfield side are readying a 200 million euro transfer bid. Mbappe, who won the World Cup with France last year and who is reportedly happy at PSG, is considered one of the best players in the world.

  • The 20-year-old has yet to have won a major European trophy since his arrival in Paris from former club Monaco, but for many it is just a matter of time before Mbappe proves his full potential at club level. According to several new betting sites, PSG are amongst the favourites for European glory this year under manager Thomas Tuchel, however many will agree that keeping hold of striker Mbappe will be crucial to the club's ambitions.

This season Mbappe has yet again forged an impressive partnership up front with Brazilian striker Neymar, with the duo widely considered the best attacking pair in the world.

Liverpool have been monitoring many attackers across Europe but Mbappe is not a player that Jurgen Klopp wants to sign. Speaking to reporters, the Liverpool boss quipped: “OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign Mbappe, what a player he is. But it is about the money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance, sorry for killing that story.

“I don’t think there is a club in the world that can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG. And we are involved in that too. We cannot do it, it is as easy as that. We have nothing (more) to say about it to be honest, but (buying) this calibre of player is difficult.”
