Amauri deal to Juventus likely

30 March 2008 - 12:23

Palermo striker Amauri looks set to be putting the finishing touches to a move to Serie A rivals Juventus this summer. The deal is believed to be a cash plus player package, with £10 million in cash and three Juve youngsters heading the other way.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Paolo De Ceglie, Sebastian Giovinco and Domenico Criscito have been linked with a move from Juve to Palermo, and Giovinco is regarded by many to be one of the best young attacking talents in Italy.

Amauri has been in excellent goalscoring form this season and Man Utd and Chelsea were both earlier linked with a move for the player.

However, it seems likely that Amauri will prefer to stay in Italy and when the Old Lady came knocking for his services, Amauri was unlikely to wish to move elsewhere.
